The Lehighton Area Middle School is participating in an important district initiative called Schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program (SWPBIS). The main goal of the program is to foster a positive learning environment for all students and to positively reinforce expected student behaviors in various school settings.
A letter explaining the program will be sent home with students on Wednesday, October 2nd. If any parents wish to make a donation towards the rewards for the SWPBIS program, please send that to the Middle School's main office. Thank you.

PTO has teamed up with Tri-County Team Wear for our online Spirit Wear Fundraiser. This fundraiser runs from October 1st through October 20th. There are many items to choose from for men, women and youth, and the best part is these items will be delivered to the Middle School well before the Winter Break in the event you wish to give an item as a gift.
Orders will be delivered in November and upon receipt, a pick-up date and time will be scheduled. Therefore, if you place an online order, please continue to check this website or PTO's Facebook page for pick-up information.
Please know that online orders cannot be accepted after October 20th at Midnight.

Picture retakes will take place on Wednesday, October 30th, starting at 7:30am.
This Picture Retake Day is mainly for students/staff who did NOT have their picture taken yet. However, if your student had their picture taken in September and you had ordered pictures which you do not like, then your student will have an opportunity to have them retaken on October 30th. (Your student must give the original picture packet to the photographer this day.)
If you wish to order new pictures, this must be done online by visiting Barksdale School Portraits website at: www.barksdalephoto.com Please call Barksdale at (800) 220-7667 for the access code.

7th & 8th Grade Girls: If you are interested in playing basketball this winter, Open Gym will be held every Sunday from 12:00-1:30 at the Elementary Center starting Sunday, September 15th. (This will run from Sept. 15 through Oct. 27.)
6th Grade Girls: If you are interested in participating in basketball, there will be a Girls Basketball Training Camp on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm at the Elementary Center. This will start on Monday, September 16th and flyers are in the main office for those 6th grade girls who are interested in this camp. (This will run from Sept. 16 through Oct. 28.)
