There is currently a Rita's Card Fundraiser taking place to raise funds for the 8th grade end-of-year party, which is being hosted by the 8th grade parents.  If anyone wishes to order a Rita's Card, please see an 8th grade student. 

Orders must be turned into the Middle School's main office by May 15th.

PSSA and Keystone Exams will be held on the following days:

  • April 23 through April 25 -- PSSA ELA (all grades) ... testing will take place between 7:30-9:30am
  • April 28 and 29 -- PSSA Math (all grades) ... testing will take place between 7:30-9:30am
  • April 30 and May 1 -- PSSA Science (8th grade only) ... testing will take place between 9:54-11:27am
  •  
  • May 19 & 20 -- Keystone Exams (Algebra students only)

We ask that you please make every attempt to avoid scheduling appointments for your student these days.

Starting with the 2024/2025 school year, PSSA testing will all be done online.  Please know that students must keep their school-issued device at the school starting April 17th until PSSA testing is finished.  If your student has their charger at home, they must bring it to school so their device stays charged.

Intramurals is an after-school event that takes place immediately after dismissal until 3:30pm and held in the Middle School gym.  If your student is interested in participating, an emergency form must be received.  Intramurals packets are located in the main office for those students who wish to participate for the remainder of the school year.

A schedule is provided to students who attend, but dates will also appear on the Middle School's website under "Daily Bulletin".

  • April 2025 - Intramurals will be held every Tuesday and Thursday.
  • May 2025 - May 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29.

In the event a day would be cancelled, an announcement will be made to students.

The LAMS PTO is currently looking for an Officer for the 2025/2026 school year.  If you will have a student in the Lehighton Area Middle School in the 2025/2026 school year and are interested in becoming an officer, please send an email to PTO expressing your interest.

**ALL YEARBOOKS ARE SOLD**

It is time to pre-order your 2024-2025 yearbook.

Order forms will be sent home with students on Friday, November 1, 2024.  Instructions for ordering by phone, by mail, or online are included, along with pre-order pricing information. (Orders will not be accepted at the school.)

Be sure to secure your copy of the yearbook by Monday, December 2, 2024, to get it at the reduced price.  After December 2nd, the price will increase.

Shout Outs to students may also be purchased.  If you order a shout out, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete it.  Should you have any questions, contact Mrs. Lusch at klusch@lehighton.org or Mrs. Smith at asmith@lehighton.org.

There will not be any extra yearbooks at the end of the school year so if your student is interested in a yearbook, please make sure you pre-order one.
