Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser

The Lehighton Area Middle School PTO's annual Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser has begun!  This is PTO's biggest fundraiser which will fund the 6th-8th grade students' field trip this school year.

As in years past, everyone will have an opportunity to order through the paper packet which was given to your student, or another option is to order online.  https://fundraising.gertrudehawkchocolates.com/.

  • Ordering with paper order form - Please make sure totals are correct and money is submitted with the order form. (Cash is accepted, as well as checks or money order made payable to LAMS PTO.)
  • For online orders, the ORGANIZATION ID is Lehighton Area MS, or ORGANIZATION ID# 112184.  (Please know that orders will be delivered to the Middle School, or you can choose to have it shipped directly to your home.)

Note: If anyone would rather make a donation to the LAMS PTO instead of fundraising, please send payment into the LAMS main office in an envelope clearly marked "Donation for LAMS PTO".

Fundraiser timeline:  January 21 through February 17, 2026

Orders are due:  Tuesday, February 17th

Orders will be distributed the week of March 16-20, 2026 (exact date TBD, however an Alert notification will be sent approx. 1 week prior to pick-up date).

LAMS PTO Meeting

The next PTO Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 19th at 7:00pm in the Middle School Cafeteria/Foyer.

Volleyball Tournament

The Student Advisory Council is holding a Volleyball Tournament for interested LAMS students on Friday, February 20th.  Details on signing up to participate can be found here: VolleyballTournament2026.pdf.

If there are enough teams, the Volleyball Tournament will begin at 3:00pm on February 20th.  (In the event there are not enough team, a notification will appear on this post.)

 

 

SNOW MAKE-UP DAYS

Due to all the snow and icy weather we have experienced this Winter Season, the following are the scheduled Snow Make-up days.  School will be in session these days.

  • February 13 (Friday)
  • April 2 (Thursday) -- please know that April 1 will now be a full day, and April 2 will be the Early Dismissal day
  • May 22 (Friday)
  • June 10 (Wednesday)

It’s almost incomprehensible that winter is right around the corner. But ready or not, here it comes!  You can prepare yourself a bit more for the wintry weather and the interruptions it causes to school by signing up for text messages when school is closed, delayed, or dismissing early.

To sign up, text the letter "Y" to 67587.

(If you are currently receiving texts from LASD, there is no need to do anything more.)
