The yearbook staff will be holding a cover design competition for this year's yearbook. Any Lehighton Middle School student wishing to submit a design should do so by Thursday, September 19th at 2:24pm.

Designs may be hand drawn or digitally created, but limited to the colors maroon, white, grey and black.  When submitted to Mrs. Lusch or Mrs. Smith, student must have their name and homeroom written on the back.  Email submissions are also permissible; please send that to asmith@lehighton.org or klusch@lehighton.org.

The winner will receive a free yearbook, valued at over $30.

7th & 8th Grade Girls:  If you are interested in playing basketball this winter, Open Gym will be held every Sunday from 12:00-1:30 at the Elementary Center starting Sunday, September 15th. (This will run from Sept. 15 through Oct. 27.)
 
 
6th Grade Girls:  If you are interested in participating in basketball, there will be a Girls Basketball Training Camp on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm at the Elementary Center.  This will start on Monday, September 16th and flyers are in the main office for those 6th grade girls who are interested in this camp. (This will run from Sept. 16 through Oct. 28.)

Intramurals is an after-school event that takes place immediately after dismissal until 3:30pm.  If your student is interested in participating, an emergency form must be received.  Packets are in the main office for those students which to participate for this Fall season or click here: Intramurals-Fall2024

Starting September 11 through November 7, Intramurals will take place on scheduled dates from 2:30-3:30pm.  A schedule will be provided to students who attend, and dates will also appear on the Middle School's website under "Daily Bulletin".)

In the event a day would be cancelled, an announcement will be made to students.

The mission of LAMS PTO is to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement; enhance the educational experience by supporting academic and enrichment activities; and improve the environment by providing volunteer and financial support.

What does LAMS PTO do?  Field trips ... Support for added classroom supplies ... Good behavior rewards ... Maroon & White Day ... Treats before Winter break ... Staff appreciation days and much more!

Meeting dates for the 2024-2025 school year can be found on the PTO tab of the LAMS website.  The first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 19th at 7:00pm in the M.S. Foyer/Cafeteria area.

Please consider being a PTO Member.  PTO is always looking for volunteers and fresh ideas.

Drama will be meeting every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00pm in the M.S. Auditorium starting on September 3rd.  All Middle School students are welcome to join, no experience is required.

Auditions for the fall play "A Christmas Carol" will be held at the September 17th meeting.
